Der Knowledge Engineering Prozess bei der Entwicklung eines wissensbasierten Konfigurationssystems für die Blaupunkt GmbH

This M.A. thesis deals with the Knowledge Engineering process during the development of a Knowledge Based System. Relevant definitions and models are introduced to illustrate the process as a whole before Knowledge Acquisition which forms a main part of Knowledge Engineering is explicated in detail. Starting from these theoretical fundamentals the development of a configuration system for Blaupunkt GmbH serves as an example for the process. Applicable methods of Knowledge Elicitation, solutions from Knowledge Analysis as well as Knowledge Representation formalisms are described in the context of the Blaupunkt-project. A particular emphasis of the thesis is placed on difficulties in the usage of certain knowledge sources, the importance of Knowledge Analysis and the use of declarative and procedural representation methods.

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Magisterarbeit ist der Knowledge Engineering Prozess bei der Entwicklung eines Wissensbasierten Systems. Es werden dazu zunächst grundlegende Begriffe definiert und Ablaufmodelle vorgestellt. Einen Schwerpunkt der Arbeit bildet die Wissensakquisition als Hauptteil des Knowledge Engineering. Der konkrete Ablauf des Prozesses wird am Beispiel der Entwicklung eines Konfigurationssystems für die Blaupunkt GmbH dargestellt. Eingesetzte Methoden zur Wissenserhebung, Wissensanalyse-Ergebnisse sowie Formalismen zur Wissensrepräsentation im Konfigurationssystem werden detailliert am Projekt aufgezeigt. Besonders wird dabei auf Schwierigkeiten im Umgang mit Wissensquellen, den hohen Stellenwert der Wissensanalyse sowie Einsatzmöglichkeiten von deklarativen und prozeduralen Repräsentationsmethoden eingegangen.
