    Abgehängt oder autoritär?
    (Springer, 2024)
    Rippl, Susanne
    ;
    Seipel, Christian
    Rechtspopulistische Bewegungen gewannen in den letzten Jahren weltweit an Bedeutung. Bereits die Beschreibung dieser Entwicklungen zeigt, dass es länderübergreifende Faktoren gibt, die den weltweiten Aufstieg autoritärer Bewegungen stützen. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden wichtige theoretische Ansätze dargelegt, die versuchen, diese globalen Entwicklungen zu erklären. Dabei werden Modernisierungsprozesse und der damit einhergehende Wandel der Sozialstruktur im Fokus stehen. Die damit verbundenen Auf- und Abstiege einzelner sozialer Gruppen werden als relevante Rahmenbedingungen für die Motivationen der Anhänger*innen beleuchtet. Theoretisch geht es um die Frage, inwieweit der Aufstieg des Rechtspopulismus als Form einer „Notwehrreaktion“ gegen soziale und kulturelle Abstiegsprozesse gedeutet werden könnte. Die dargelegten Erklärungsansätze werden mit Befunden der empirischen Wahl- und Einstellungsforschung unterlegt. Abschließend wird die Frage diskutiert, in welchem Zusammenhang ideologische Motive, autoritäre Dispositionen und Protestmotive stehen.

    Accessibility is becoming increasingly established as an important topic in human-computer interaction (HCI). HCI is regarded as an interdisciplinary subject area involving various disciplines (work science, ergonomics, computer science, information science, medicine, psychology, etc.). In information science, the scientific perspective of which will be assumed here, the general objective is to provide equal access to information and knowledge as well as technologies and tools used for this purpose. This form of participation is not only focused on reception of knowledge, but also on the creation of own content, e.g. in social networks in the form of user-generated content or in the World Wide Web.

    Acquiring Powerful Thinking Through Geographical Key Concepts

    This chapter explores the key concept approach in geography education, outlining four different concepts of space used in the German educational standards currently applied in state schools. Consideration is given to how teachers use a conceptual approach to enable them to plan lessons which promote geographical thinking and enquiry. Two exemplar exercises are presented which illustrate possibilities for key concept development and opportunities to introduce challenging enquiry to promote powerful thinking—both for geography teachers and for their students. By reporting on the outcomes of a research project into the use of key concepts in geography classes, this chapter reflects on what has been learnt during the training of geography teachers about the practical implementation of key concepts in classrooms. Suggestions are also offered for the development of in-service training concerning geographical concepts.

    Schmerz fordert. Stechend, diffus, betäubend, energetisierend verlangt Schmerz nach Aktivität, Aktualisierung und Reaktion. Aus einem Moment heraus oder chronifiziert, ruft er zur Aufmerksamkeit, macht sich präsent und erscheint bisweilen unausweichlich. Er zeigt Verletzung oder Dysbalance an und zerreißt Gewohnheit, zumindest die schmerzfreie. Herzschmerz, Migräne, traumatische Erinnerung und angeschlagenem Zeh sind gemein, Situationen und Abläufe zu unterbrechen sowie Deutungen infrage zu stellen.
